Becoming Tile warrants the tile and the fabrication of every mosaic we make for 20 years from the date it ships. If a covered defect appears, we replace the affected mosaic sheets at no charge.

1. Who is covered

This warranty covers the original purchaser of a Becoming Tile mosaic and the owner of the property where the mosaic is first installed.

2. What is covered

For 20 years from the date of shipment, Becoming Tile, LLC warrants that, under normal use and when installed and maintained according to our instructions and applicable TCNA/ANSI methods:

Tile material

Individual tiles will be free from manufacturing defects, including cracking, crazing or surface breakdown that is not caused by an outside force.
Glass tile color will not fade or change in normal interior use.

Fabrication

The mosaic will match the design you approved, within the natural color variation of the tile.
Sheets will be assembled, numbered and backed correctly, so they can be installed according to the placement diagram supplied with the order.

3. What we will do

If a covered defect is confirmed, we will, at our option:

fabricate and ship replacement mosaic sheets for the affected area at no charge, including standard shipping; or
if replacement is not reasonably possible, refund the purchase price paid for the affected portion of the mosaic.

Replacement sheets are made to the original approved design. If a tile color has been discontinued, we will use the closest available color and show it to you for approval before fabrication.

4. What is not covered

Labor or cost to remove, install or reinstall tile, and any setting materials, grout, waterproofing or substrate.
Problems caused by installation, including substrate movement or deflection, unsuitable or non-white thinset behind glass, incomplete thinset coverage, missing movement joints, or installation that does not follow our instructions and applicable TCNA/ANSI methods.
Defects that were visible before installation. Please inspect every sheet against the placement diagram before setting it. Installing a sheet counts as accepting its visible condition.
Damage from impact, abuse, accidents, fire, flood, settling of the building, or acts of nature.
Damage from acidic or abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or pool and spa water kept outside the chemistry ranges the equipment manufacturer recommends.
Normal wear on floor installations, and freeze-thaw damage in exterior installations unless the tile line is rated for that use.
Natural variation in color, shade, texture and size between tiles and production lots, and differences between on-screen images or printed renderings and physical tile.
Mosaics that were altered after shipment, or orders that have not been paid in full.

5. How to make a claim

Email info@becomingtile.com or call 833-468-7257.
Include your order number, the installation address, a description of the problem and clear photographs (one of the whole installation and several close-ups).

We may ask for an inspection, a removed tile, or additional photographs. We will respond within 5 business days. Proof of purchase is required.

6. Limits of this warranty

This warranty is the only express warranty Becoming Tile makes for its mosaics. Any implied warranty, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, is limited to the 20-year duration of this warranty. Becoming Tile is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including the cost of labor, lost use of the space, or damage to other property.

Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

7. Commercial and architectural projects

This warranty applies to commercial projects unless a written project agreement says otherwise. Project-specific warranty documents for submittals are available on request.

Getting the best result: glass mosaic needs a flat substrate, white polymer-modified thinset rated for glass, full coverage and correctly placed movement joints. We will send installation guidance with every order and are glad to talk with your installer before the job.
